I suggest connecting with your class mates working in IT industry or IT roles elsewhere and they will be able to get you an opportunity to be interviewed by their company's HR. Also talk to your placement head and seek his suggestions, connections. Make a well rounded biodata, make applications with a cover note to convince the employers on how you can add value to the company. In case there are some new software, languages, skills that you need to learn, go for them simultaneously. You are sure to succeed.

Ans: Doing internships is not of much use as it is not considered equivalent to work experience. If it is part time internship where it does not affect your preparation then it is fine. You could look at an option of doing a full time job. If you feel with a full time job you will not be able to prepare for CAT then can look at doing courses in the area of your interest and pursue some hobby.

Dear Sir My last employer has shared me Certificate of Employment on my mail id after serving notice period and approval of resignation, and when I asked them if I should expect seperate document as experience and relieving letter they replied same document i.e certificate of employment will serve as both relieving and experience letter. so sir kindly confirm if it's correct or will I face any issues in future with this document? Note: this certificate of employment clearly says I worked from xyz date to abc date and it says I have been relieved from the services from close hours of abc date And in bottom it's mentioned : as per your contract of employment you will be bound by non- compete, solicition, non disclosure etc I am worried why my last employer have me certificate of employment instead of relieving letter and will it affect me in future?

Im 49 years old i worked as a teacher in a private unaided school in Telangana Medchal Mandal for the past 24 years.I started my career in teaching in this school since 1998 -2024 March 15. I was asked to quit the school since the new management wanted to have teachers according to their whims and fancies. I worked for her parents when the parents died the property was divided among her daughters finally the elder one cornered it she didn't want the old staff to work and wanted to appoint new staff. When my old correspondent (her mother) when we asked for PF she assured i can't insure right now because i should have done right at the inception of the school so i promise to pay good will when you leave the school for the service rendered towards the school unfortunately she too died in 2021 then her daughter present correspondent didn't even do any favour Unfortunate thing i worked for such an institution there i had not facilities of PF . I served so loyally for this institution as a token of gratitude to my service.they didn't pay anything. Finding a job in other institution they doubt over long standing experience in one school and owing my age they are hesitant to offer a job i have attended few interviews in school . I'm running pillar to post to find a job to support myself. Im helpless and desperate don't know what to do. Please help mem

You will have 1.5 years to prepare for the exam. There are students who also prepare for less than 6 months and crack the exam. In the meantime ensure you do well in your academics in your college, create a good habit of reading and take up internship post your 1st year of graduation.

Hey i am a 21 year old female who took a drop of 2 years after my 12th for Neet, unfortunately couldn’t crack it. Now i am really confused with what to do in my life. I have selected a few options such as doing BDES from pearl academy or doing BBA from some private college. The thing i am concerned about is my age. If i do bdes which is 4 years long, i will be 25 when graduating and if i do bba, i will be 24 while graduating. My main goal is to do MBA from top B school but because of Neet prep ,my past academic records aren’t good enough so the certainty of me getting a good mba college is very less which scares me a lot. Plus if i graduate late then it adds up to the problem. Please help me navigate through my career. What should i do next?

Ans: If your goal is to do an MBA then can do a 3 year BBA course. This will save you one year as compared to BDES and the course would be relevant to what you want to do. I dont think the 2 year gap would matter a lot in the long run.

I am working in Integrated Steel Public sector Plant as Junior Engineer level , I did my btech in mechanical engineering , having 4 yrs of experience but I want to jump to Mncs as manager for higher packages so what courses should I learn and what skills should I add to my resume

Ans: If you are planning to continue in your technical field than look at courses relevant to your area which are in demand. Another option would be to do an MBA - Executive MBA or Full Time 2 year MBA and then get placed in MNC through the college. YOu would have to prepare for exams like GMAT and CAT.

Ans: If you are planning to go abroad, then research about the university you plan to go to and what do they focus on during admission. Some of the colleges abroad focus on extra curricular activities and have extra weightage for the same. Some European colleges prefer students who know their native language like German, French, etc. So based on the college you plan to apply to you can decide what to do - take language courses, work in NGO or pursue some other extra curricular activity or do some technical course related to your field.

Hello Sir..i m 33 yr engineer mommy to 2.5 yr daughter..want to do an MBA from tier 1 college. After graduating i was lecturer in engineering colg hv 2 years of experience n after that working in govt Bank from past 7 years. Gave CAT twice but time constraint n toddler was not able to crack.last year got finalised for NMIMS hyderabad but dint took admission as away from mumbai n not that great bschool.going to give cat this year as ladt chance but i m very very confused n stressed that should i go for it or not, m having age barrier ,a growing kid,offc n home work pressure, managing all this i could hardly make time of 2/3 hrs to study with low energy..i thought of executive mba but was thinking doin executive taking so much risk wil actually land me where? Also as d growing age n 9-5 job health hampers sometimes with backaches n end of day i think that is my decision really worthy,shud i really go fr it or settle wid what i hv, in short m trying to jump from comfort zone to competitive world where i il b having colleages 10 yrs younger n smarter than me..but i get a kick wn i c womens sparking high.can u plz guide me sir taking my decision?

Ans: I believe instead of looking for 2 year full time MBA course, try for Executive MBA course from some of the top IIMs or XLRI or ISB. You would have to write the GMAT which requires less amount of preparation as compared to CAT. Minimum work experience required for doing Executive MBA is around 5 years. So the others would also be of similar age.

Hey sir, I want some suggestions from you, I did my graduation in 2019 but my grades were not that good but still I decided whether I want to go to a good college or fulfill my dream but Aaj 2024 hai main abhi tk cat ya koi achcha management exam crack nahi kr paya. Now the problem is that I am 27 years old and my family is telling me to do MBA from any college.I have so many reasons for disappointment like my bad graduation marks, no extracurricular activities, gap after graduation but i don't know why i am not want to settle for less. I always wanted to do postgraduation from good place and make a good career but now I don't understand what to do or how to do it. Can you give me some suggestions as to what I can do next. And please reply with full honesty.will i go to some private university for mba and prepare well for placements ,2. Do some certification courses like data or business analytics and start preparing for job with that.

Ans: You can prepare for Management Entrance tests, but would recommend you to take up a job simultaneously during your preparation. Having a large gap after graduation without any work experience will create a problem when you go for placements in your MBA college. Considering your situation, can settle for tier 2 MBA college. But before joining the college check their placements and talk to the students of that college. Should not happen that you are jobless even after doing an MBA.

Im 33 years old, is it wise to do MBA full time, given that im earning 7 LPA as a Civil Engineer having 6 years of work experience, my past academics were not great, doing MBA full time will it drastically increase my salary, kindly note im single, don't plan to marry asap, I don't have much liability as well, doing MBA from tier 2 colleges will help or should I continue with what im currently doing

Ans: If possible can do Executive MBA (1 year full time MBA) from some of the top colleges. That could help to boost your career. If you plan to do from tier 2 MBA institute ensure that you research about their placements before you take it up. Another option is to look for areas in your field like project Management and do some relevant online courses before you move to that field.

I am 27 year old man. Iam currently working in BPO from last 4 year but did not get any promotion due to switching companies. I earn 30k per month and have work from home job also I am having MBA in HR. I am little worry about my future as most people say there is no scope in the BPO field. Should i quit my job and look for HR job? If i look for another job in different field i have to start from 0. What will be the best option? Also have night shifts currently with 2 week off.

Ans: Check your interest. If your interest lies in HR, then it makes sense to change your field and move to HR roles. Initially you will have to start from scratch but as you gain experience you will be able to get promotion and responsibilities. Avoid switching jobs too frequently as it will not help in the long run.

Which is beneficial out of 1.Certficate programes by MBA colleges . 2 Distance MBA 3. Executive MBA 4. Regular MBA in India? Context: I have 12 year of experience in total in the IT sector. I am a solution architect earning around 50LPA CTC. I am exploring the options of doing an MBA and not sure which one is more suitable. I am in middle management and want to get into the senior leadership role. Objective: This MBA/certificate for me is a ladder to scale up. So I am looking only for top 5 management schools in India. Mostly from IIM's or ISB only. Expectation: Looking for alumni status Looking for network connections for better outreach for a job switch. Impression on Resume/profile to get a job in a higher designation. I am more concerned with designation although in the IT sector only. (Is impression is enough to scale up the ladder , with comm and tech skills. Not sure ) Constraints: I need remote education, and can't relocate to different cities. cant go beyond 6-8lakh fees. Options: Certificate Program (IIM, ISB, XLRI) Executive MBA(1 year)(Too expensive though) General MBA(2 year remote) From these options, which is the best alternative? and what is the difference between these? Does it hold any value on paper?

Ans: It is always preferable to do an Executive MBA considering what you require from an MBA course. But you have other constraints in which case look at distance MBA Certificate course. There are foreign universities like Wharton, Kellogg, etc offering Distance Certificate course, but if you plan to continue working in India, course from top IIMs or ISB or XLRI could be better.

Ans: Most jobs at Manager level would involve pressure. You could look at option of shifting to a role of a Manager in a smaller / alternate firm where the pressure is relatively less. Talk to people in your industry to identify the roles with lower pressure so that you can then work on getting those roles.

I am 23 old live in Kolkata, actually I was pursuing my graduation ( B.A ) back then . I would have been graduated by 2022 but I got a backlog in 2 sub , then I dropped out from college, meanwhile I tried multiple job like in multiple companies in job like customer service representative , content moderation , translation , but I left everywhere with in 2 & 3 months , so I realised that I can't do desk job , I hate corporate, so now I am confused about my life what should I do

Ans: If you have not completed your graduation, it would be recommended to complete your graduation. Else you may find problem in getting promoted in the future in whichever company you work. Since you do not like desk job, try your hand in field job. This could be sales. Apply to different companies to get sales experience. Try to stick to a company for a longer duration to learn the trade.

Ans: Apply to companies or contact recruitment firms looking at hiring HR employees. Another option is to start something on your own or first work in smaller firms to get a hang of the role. This could be in recruitment or training. Another option is to reskill yourself in areas you are interested in like Counseling or Life Coach etc and then can venture into that field.
